Lipgloss Haul

I have been on the hunt for some new lip glosses lately. I realized after cleaning out my collection that most of mine are very similar in color. So, I went on a mission to find some new ones in a range of colors. I picked up five to start and I know I will be getting more once spring and summer get here.
Dior Frisson

Frisson

First, is the Dior Addict Fluid Stick in 239 Frisson. This was a hard one to find, the only place that had it was Dior.com and now it is out of stock. This is a nice color but for $35 it didn't wow me. Don't get me wrong it's a pretty color and goes on nice but it clings to any dry or rough spot and it doesn't have super long lasting power, it last like any normal lip gloss. One thing I do really like about it is the applicator, I love shape and size of it. Would I buy it again? Probably, because I really do like the color. I would recommend making sure your lips are smooth and soft first before wearing it though.
Maybelline Breathtaking Apricot and Celestial Color

Breathtaking Apricot

Celestial Color

Maybelline Celestial Color Color Elixir looks like a dark coral in the tube and swatched on my arm but, on my lips it looks closer to a berry color. It is super moisturizing and a nice bit of color without going overboard.  It started wearing off after about two hours, which is normal for me because I am always drinking.  As it wore off it seemed to leave a stain of color on my lips. The other Maybelline color I got was Breathtaking Apricot this one is true to color in the tube and on the lips but, it doesn't go on the best. It went on kind of patchy and took a bit of working with to get the color even. It also clung to every dry patch it could find, it makes me sad to say this one is not a keeper.

NYX Fortune Cookie and Tres Leches

Fortune Cookie

Tres Leches

The last two are both from NYX. The first is the butter gloss in Fortune Cookie, which I really like. It is super moisturizing on its own and makes a nice color to put over a lipstick. These are very reasonably priced at Ulta for $4.99 and the always have them on sale it seems for buy one get one half off. It wears like a normal lip gloss and it can cling to dry patches and only has a couple hours for wear. But, for the price this is a great addition and the perfect throw in your purse color. Second one is Intense butter gloss in Tres Leches. This is such a pretty color, it is definitely that mauve 90s lip color that seems so popular right now. This lip gloss is very opaque, it's almost like a lipstick/lip gloss hybrid. I don't find it to cling to dry patches as much as some of the others and it goes on and feels like a gloss on. The only thing I don't like is the applicator. If this had an applicator like the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks this would be perfect, but for the quality and the price this is a great lip gloss.

From top to bottom Tres Leches, Fortune Cookie, Breathtaking Apricot, Celestial Color and Frisson.
