Hair products I've used up

I have used up three different hair products in the past month. Some I have already repurchased because I can't live without them. Others I have moved onto new products I am trying.

First, to start with let me tell you about my hair. I have long, thick, wavy hair. It is colored and has highlights. I like product that are moisturizing but don't way it down. My scalp is a little crazy. I have dandruff, but it is an oily dandruff not a dry kind. They are very different especially when it comes to finding a shampoo that works.

Phillip B Anti Flake Shampoo
Phillip B Anti Flake shampoo is hands down the best shampoo I have found for my scalp. I already have a new bottle, I never let myself run out of this stuff. It is marketed towards people with both dry and oily dandruff. But it is the only think I have found to work for oily dandruff. I have tried your typical Head and Shoulders shampoo, and prescription shampoo my doctor recommended but, nothing has worked like this. When you get in the shower wet your hair. Then rub this into your scalp really good. You are suppose to leave it on for 3-5 minutes and then rinse it out letting it run through the rest of your hair. When I do my hair I put it on my scalp then scrub, scrub, scrub, because it feels so good. Then I let it sit for about 5 minutes. Sometimes I scrub again if I feel the need but usually I just rinse it out. This shampoo is pretty pricey and hard to get but it is well worth it. You can order it from beauty.com and amazon.com. Some department stores do carry it but I have not found any by me that do. Cost wise a 11.8oz bottle will run you $49. I suggest doing like I do and ordering it from amazon. That same size bottle is usually between $28-35 and it is the same thing.

Redken satinwear blowdry lotion
Next, is a product that was recommended to me by my hair dresser, Redken satinwear blowdry lotion. Would I buy this product again? Maybe. Now this product is great at protecting your hair from the heat of the blow dryer. It does the job it is suppose to do. But, it is just so boring. It really doesn't have any great smell to it and it kind of annoys me the way you have to apply it. You have to first pump some into your hands, then apply to your wet hair, then comb it through. I hate that by the time I am done I feel like I have to wash my before I can even touch my blow dryer. Personally I really do find it to be annoying. I have moved on to something new that I am absolutely loving.
Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo
The last product I have used up is another shampoo. Because on my hair type I can only wash my hair 2-3 times a week. Some of those times I feel that I don't need my dandruff shampoo so I try to use a very hydrating shampoo. Now, first let me say the reason I choose this shampoo, it is because I have other Kenra products that I just love and could not live without. This one sadly is not one of them. Would I buy this again? Never. I tired to give it a chance. I used up the whole bottle and still I don't like it. First thing, the smell, this shampoo stinks. I hated washing my hair with it because it smelled so bad. After washing my hair I felt like it dried my hair out even with using my normal Redken conditioner after, it still felt dry. I'm not talking dry with a little bit of static. I am talking it felt like straw. My mother was even staying at our house and used it. She came out of the bathroom and first thing she did was start complaining about how horrible she thought my shampoo was. So needless to say this is not a winner.
